The Thunderbolts One-Day Monument – Are You Ready to Send It?

Back in 2017, a frothing pack of 40-odd legends lined up for the first-ever Thunderbolts Adventure—a beast of a ride spanning 230km of rugged gravel and 5,000m of lung-busting elevation. It was wild, it was brutal, and it was unforgettable.

Now, in 2026, The Monument is BACK. Whether you’re here to race it all-out or just survive to tell the tale, this is the ultimate test of grit, gravel, and guts in the toughest one day gravel event in Australia. 

We have options people!

• The Monument: This is the BIG ONE but not as you know. An entirely new course has been designed. 256km. 4,785vm return to Gloucester.

  Start at 6:30 AM Saturday April 25, 2026 at the Gloucester Community Hall.

• The Colt: Introduced in 2025 this 95km loop is still spicy, but a bit less of the lung busting and more of the heart soothing.

  Start at 9:00 AM Saturday April 25, 2026 at the Gloucester Community Hall.

• The Remington: A new 40km loop for those that like to cruise.

  Start at 9:00 AM Saturday April 25, 2026 at the Gloucester Community Hall.

• The FlashPacker: Make your own way to Gloucester on one of our approved routes and join us for the edlebration Saturday night.

  Arrive at the Avon Valley Inn for dinner April 25, 2026

Hydration Stations & Support:
While this is a self-supported ride, we’ve got your back where it matters:
✅ Mechanical & water stop at the top of Mud Hut Rd 51km (Monument and The Colt riders).
✅ Compulsory check-in & bottle drop at the Community Hall 100km (Monument riders).
